  • Receiving, reviewing and scrutinising the complaints submitted to any authority relating to misconduct by members of police force while acting within the scope of their responsibilities, including Superior Responsibility.

  • Recording and retaining the evidence and results of the scrutiny of complaints alleging misconduct by any member of the police force.

  • Allegations of assault by a member of the police force to justify disciplinary action.

     

    Anyone can submit a complaint in the following events:

     

    1- Alleged wrongful act by a member of the public security forces while on duty or because he belongs to the security forces.

    2- Alleged loss, damage or exposure to risk resulting from an act of a member of the public security forces.

    3- Written representation by a complainant through his/her power of attorney in the event of any of the abovementioned cases. 

     

    How to file a complaint:

     

    1.    Call the directorate on hotline 80008008

    2.    Fax the complaint to 17250696

    3.    Email the complaint to iai@interior.gov.bh

    4.    Call in person at the headquarters of the Directorate of Internal Affairs and Investigation.

    5.    Submit a complaint through the one of the 11 complaint boxes installed by the directorate at the police directorates.
