The Customs Affairs has re-launched its new-look magazine, which it considers a turning point in media publishing as it highlights the functioning of the Customs and informs the public about its services as well as the latest in the Customs and economic worlds.
At the launch ceremony, Customs President Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa in a speech highlighted the development phases of the Customs Affairs, especially after it joined the Ministry of Interior in 2008. He said the Customs Affairs had acquired an economic and security identity with the implementation of Customs procedures. He also highlighted the importance of the Customs Affairs in the smooth movement of travellers and exchange of goods and services. It aims to provide the highest levels of quality in all fields under its control, he said, while stressing its role in creating awareness about its missions, duties and services through various media resources.
The ceremony included the screening of a documentary on the history and development of Customs and the functioning of the Customs at borders. The magazine covers Customs-related news, features and special articles and studies. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and gifts among sponsors.
