The General Director of the Northern Governorate Police has announced the death of a 13-year-old Bahraini boy on Wednesday as result of an accidental suicide.

He said the operations room received a call at 2:30pm about a body lying in a house in Malikiya. Security teams which rushed to the scene discovered that the child had died when he accidentally hanged himself with a wire while playing in a room in the house.

He said that all legal procedures were taken and a forensic examination of the body was carried which showed that his death was as a result of an accidental suicide. The General Director urged parents to supervise their children and not leave them unattended, especially during summer vacations.
