The General Director of Crime Detection and Forensic Science said on Wednesday that the US State Department had announced that Bahraini Ahmed Shahab had been added to the list of terrorists wanted on charges related to his being part of a terror group outside Bahrain to carry out acts of aggression against foreign countries. The General Director said Shahab had been sentenced in absentia by the First Higher Court in Bahrain in 2009.

The General Director said that a circular about the citizen had been sent to Arab countries which were members in the General Secretariat of Arab Interior Ministers, the Arab Criminal Police Office and the Interpol after the verdict in 2009.
