The Interior Ministry’s Human Rights Committee specialises in:
- Researching and studying the Ministry-related human rights issues.
- Working to spread the human rights culture and spread awareness about their importance among the Ministry’s affiliates.
- Formulating and implementing a comprehensive strategy related to human rights for the Ministry.
- Organising human rights-related programmes, courses and lectures for the Ministry’s affiliates in coordination with the Royal Academy of Police.
- Reviewing the human rights-related letters, messages, inquiries and questions sent to the Ministry and approving the responses.
- Monitoring the human rights reports where their contents relate to the Ministry’s specialities.
- Nominating Ministry representatives in human rights-related operations.
- Coordinating, cooperating and interacting with all local and international human rights organisations.
- Preparing statistics and data on human rights files related to the Ministry.
