His Excellency Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa along with Deputy Capital Governor Hasan Abdullah Al Madani and a other officials visited the headquarters of the Capital Municipality Council in Zinj where they were received by Eng. Saleh Taher Tarada, and members of the Council.
HE Capital Governor praised the composition of the Capital Municipality Council which comprises expertise from all urban and development fields, appreciating the roles assigned to them.
HE stressed on the keenness of the Capital Governorate to work in tandem with various government and public and private agencies to achieve common development goals especially the Capital Municipality Council due to the presence of many fields linked between the two sides.
Engineer Saleh Taher Tarada welcomed the visit of His Excellency and his accompanying delegation which confirmed the support of the government and the provision of services to the citizens in a way that achieves the aspirations of both sectors and promotes development. The council fo the past few years has always been entrusted with the support of the governorate over the years.
The Chairman of the Council expressed the readiness of all members and employees to continue the sincere efforts and endeavors.
Deputy Chairperson Kholoud Rashid Abdulrahman Al Qattan gave a detailed explanation of the functions of the Secretariat Council and the nature of the work of the committees, pointing out that the Council acted as a supervisory body over the executive body and issued decisions and recommendations according to the articles of the Municipal Law, and receives requests, complaints and suggestions directly from citizens.
