His Highness the Southern Governor, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, chaired the eighth meeting of the Security Committee for the year 2024. The meeting was attended by Deputy Southern Governor, Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayat, and several officers from the security authorities.
During the meeting, HH the Southern Governor welcomed the attendees and highlighted the committee's role in following the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. He emphasised the importance of addressing the needs of families to enhance security and stability in the Southern Governorate. He commended the outstanding efforts of the security authorities in strengthening security and safety in the district. He noted the high level of cooperation and coordination between the governorate and various security organisations in meeting the security needs of the residents.
HH the Southern Governor then reviewed the report of the Security Committee, which included statistics of received cases in July, as well as follow-up security arrangements for the current month. He praised the readiness, level of preparedness, and swift response of the Southern Governorate Police Directorate in handling the cases. He also acknowledged the efforts, cooperation, and joint coordination achieved in serving the people of the Southern Governorate as a result of the security precautions and measures implemented throughout the district.
The Directorate General of Civil Defence also highlighted security efforts during in July, in which HH the Southern Governor noted the importance of joint cooperation with the Civil Defence to enhance security and safety in the governorate and to continue efforts in holding campaigns aimed at raising summer security awareness.
He also acknowledged the role of the Community Police Division of the Southern Governorate Police Directorate in conducting awareness campaigns to enhance the security and safety and ensuring the well-being of all community members.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the security directorates commended the role played by HH the Southern Governor in pursuing and implementing targeted security and community initiatives. They recognised his efforts to achieve these goals in accordance with the principle of leading community partnership.
