Northern Governor hails the role of charity societies in tackling coronavirus impacts

Northern Governor Ali bin Al Shaikh Al Asfoor has received in his office Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hamad Town Charitable Society, Yusef bin Abdullah Al Mahameed, in addition to several members of the Board of Trustees.

 

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Governor, Brigadier Khalid bin Rabia Sinan Al Dossary and Head of Investment Development.

The Governor applauded all the national charitable efforts for citizens, primary the initiatives of His Highness the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Board of Trustees Chairman of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which reflects his pioneer humanitarian role in serving society.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, the Governor welcomed the attendees, praising the efforts of the society's members. He said that supporting charitable and social work promote national values. He also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in various charitable and social work.

 

The Governor asserted the support of the governorate for humanitarian activities of charitable organizations in the district.  He appreciated the contribution of NGOs in reducing the coronavirus, pointing out that the pandemic has turned the challenges into opportunities for charitable work, citing the "Feena Khair" campaign as an example.
 

 

On the other hand, the society's members expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation for the project "Your Food in Your Home", organizes by the RHF and the Interior Ministry in cooperation with the Northern Governorate as part of the "Feena Khair" campaign. They praised the efforts of the governorate for providing aids for those who deserve them. Moreover, stressing their willingness to cooperate with the governorate in various projects for the benefit of the country and citizens.
