Anti-corruption Directorate launches Nazaha 2014 campaign

MOI:

The National Anti-corruption Campaign 2014 (Nazaha) will be launched on June 1 by the Anti-corruption Directorate of the General Directorate of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security. It will continue until June 10.

The Director-General of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security said on Saturday that the campaign was part of the Interior Ministry’s strategy to support community partnership and interaction with various sections in society to combat corruption and improve awareness of its dangers for individuals and society.

The campaign will highlight the issue of corruption through newspaper articles, anti-corruption laws and work discipline, in addition to the release of reports on the risks posed by corruption in the public and private sectors.

A Facebook account will also be launched, in which linked to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes. The Director-General said the campaign was meant to highlight that corruption was a crime and a threat to society and its economy. He said the department continued to fight financial and administrative corruption in all sectors in cooperation with the bodies concerned.
