His Excellency welcomed Dr. Kuman, hailing the coordination role of the council’s General Secretariat to develop joint Arab security work and follow up on the implementation of decisions of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, the Arab Interior Ministers. The meeting reviewed topics to be discussed in the upcoming session of the council and topics related to reinforcing Arab security cooperation. The council’s General Secretary expressed gratitude for meeting His Excellency and appreciated his views on developing Arab security cooperation and coordination. The meeting was also attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and the Director of Security Cooperation. Meanwhile, His Excellency and Dr. Kuman honoured Bahrain’s winners of the Prince Nayef Award for Arab Security. Rami Waheed Mansoor won the first position in 2016 for his study on terrorism. He also topped the winners in the 2017 award for his study on cybercrimes. Dr. Ahmed Mubatak Salem won the third position in 2019 in his study on illegal migration while in the creativity category, Fatima Ali Nass won second position in 2018 for her study on narcotic awareness. Pioneering security programme, Maan (Together) won the second position in 2019 .
