The Eternal Flame Monument and the Redemption Square were constructed on an area of 27,840 square meters. The main building was designed in a semi- circular shape with two levels that meet. At the main entrance hall, the first curve starts to the top with a slope of about 6 per cent to form the main space of the exhibition and an area of ​2,200 square meters to reach a height of 7.20 meters above the level of the main entrance. It then descends again in the same direction to reach the main entrance hall. The building is also surrounded by an open circular amphitheater for the national celebrations overlooking an artificial lake in the middle of which is a theatre and a sundial with a height of 65 meters. As for the external walls, they extend around the project in a radial manner and of different lengths to be a unique modern organization of its kind. The main building consists of two floors and includes the main exhibition halls, the lecture hall, the library, the family education centre, services, recreational halls for visitors, and administrative offices. There are also engraved walls, surrounding arcades, the eternal flame, bronze panels and a “Square of Redemption”, the laser tower, the sundial, and the bronze fountain. There are gardens surrounding the walls and corridors of the edifice, corridors and parking lots. Experiments, scientific research and cultural exhibitions are held in the Al-Mithaq Museum, using various interactive means, as the museum uses a set of digital communications. The momument organizes a number of purposeful educational and intellectual programmes and activities, enlightening seminars, public and private visit programmes and contributes to educational programmes for students. It cooperates with national institutions and international organizations. It is also keen to celebrate important national events every year and receive delegations and visitors throughout the year. And when you come to the halls in the building, you feel when you enter it that you have started an inspiring journey about Bahrain, its civilization and its history, where the performances begin at the Bahrain Hall, the pearl of the Gulf, which knows the name of Bahrain and speaks about the water and greenery. It goes on to the Gate of the World, which is known as the navigational role of Bahrainis and the excellence of Bahrain in marine knowledge and in shipbuilding. It moves to the Hall of Islam and Tolerance, which focusses on the two main components of our identity, the Islamic faith and the Arab heritage, and talks about tolerance of Islam and freedom of religions. It tells us about the industry, and talks about the stage after the discovery of oil and important new industries in Bahrain. Then, the bridge of light that unites Bahrain in the words and meanings of the charter celebrates the democratic journey that took a pioneering step by uniting the will of the people in a national action charter. The Prosperity Hall talks about the achievements of Bahrain during more than two centuries, after which the hall of work together shows you the unity based on diversity, respect for the others, sacrifices, giving and creativity for the sake of the homeland.
