He highlighted various topics, including the Gulf Customs Union and Economic Operator Agreement and future regional and international ties.  The CEO of the National Centre for Cyber Security, Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa briefed the meeting on the operations of the centre and its role in promoting cybersecurity. He highlighted the importance of enhancing awareness and building capabilities to promote cybersecurity. The Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa hailed Bahrain’s diplomacy policy. He briefed the meeting about the alternative sanctions and the directorate’s strategic plan to promote Bahrain’s alternative penalties experienced internationally through the diplomatic missions.  He also highlighted open prisons as an innovative experience to achieve the best rehabilitation of inmates . He revealed that the rate of recommitting crimes after implementing the alternative penalties was reduced to 2.64 per cent in 2022, while it was 4 per cent in 2021. As a result, the beneficiaries of alternative sanctions reached 4704 inmates.   The Director of the Maan (Together) programme against violence and addiction highlighted the goals and achievements of the programme.
