The directorate also held a ceremony to honour exemplary drivers during which Deputy Director Col. Muhammad Al-Darraj gave mementos to those whose record is free of traffic violations, saying they are role models for all road users. The Gulf Traffic Week was launched in 1983 and includes many programmes that have Gulf delegations from traffic departments, citizens and residents as participants.
