APRIL 2023 50 LAST WORD b i n d a i n a@b a t e l c o . c om . b h Brig. Mohammed Bin Daina he Holy month of Ramadan comes to us this year at a time when life is going by faster than we realize and comprehend. Ramadan, in terms of language, carries an important meaning, which is “waiting for a little while and then moving on.” This is the meaning of the verb “ramada” according to what was mentioned in the dictionary of “al-Ma’ani”, meaning that the last moments of life pass quickly, and in these circumstances we must realize the philosophy of the journey of life that necessitates every person. We have to review ourselves, our relationship with God and the extent of our satisfaction with our lifestyle, with all its positives and negatives, emotions and reactions, and the extent of our conviction that each of us has a mission in life, which we must fulfill in the fullest way, and have a positive impact before leaving. And if we are at the beginning of the month of mercy, forgiveness, and self- reflection, we face a great opportunity to return to God and reconsider our accounts with the Lord of the worlds and with the rest of those around us. And you will not find a better opportunity than this to correct your positions and reverse them, if you have severed ties of kinship, made a mistake against a person, or committed an offense against someone, emphasizing that there is no room for talking about who started by making a mistake or giving up dignity or a position, because the matter is related by being keen to attain the pleasure of the Lord of the Worlds, who created the human soul for mercy. Therefore, seize the great opportunity, which will pass like a flash, to get rid of hatred and erase it from the vocabulary of your life and from your practices, and take the initiative to respect, love and communicate, the first and greatest of which is the connection of the kinship and making affection and serenity the basis of life. The most beautiful feeling in this life is found in tolerant souls. Do not hesitate and initiate peace if there is a personal or practical dispute, for we are a nation of peace and reassurance. This is an opportunity to correct conditions and concepts, which unfortunately began to seep into the minds of future generations, and this bears us a double responsibility because we are required to leave a legacy of positivity for our children and cultivate tolerance and forgiveness in their souls, and we will not succeed in that unless we set an example for them. This is an opportunity to enhance our psychological health. We should protect our children from negative influences, which is a duty for all of us because it ultimately contributes to preserving our social cohesion. Congratulations on the holy month of Ramadan, and may God accept your obedience.
