MARCH 2023 16 SECURITY he General Directorate of Civil Defence joined its global partners in celebrating the International Day of Civil Defence on March 1. The theme of this year’s celebrations is to introduce the tasks of civil defence and the services it provides and to honour civil defence personnel for their efforts. Several programmes, activities, events and educational lectures aimed at consolidating the principles of public safety, preserving private property, protecting national capabilities and achievements, and raising the level of preventive awareness among citizens and residents to achieve a safe environment have been organised in Bahrain.
