Organised by the General Directorate of Traffic on the theme, Your life is a trust, the events will be attended by companies and organisations from the public and private sectors. These will have a significant impact on spreading awareness among the community on the importance of traffic safety. We have said in a previous article on the subject last year that the Gulf Traffic Week is the result of a decision of Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Interior Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countr ies . The Gulf Traffic Week is an example of the existing cooperation between the GCC countries in the fields of security in general and in the field of traffic safety in particular so that road users live in a safe traffic environment without mishaps. During the Traffic Week, awareness among individuals on the seriousness of erroneous traffic behaviour is enhanced, and the human and material losses that may result from lack of attention and full awareness of them is highlighted so that Bahrain’s roads are safe and traffic accidents are reduced. As a result, Bahrain is considered one of the countries in managing traffic well and reporting a far lesser accident percentage compared to others.
