SECURITY is Excellency the Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received members of the Human Rights Committee of the Shura Council, led by its head, Dr Mohammed Alkhozai. The Chief of Public Security, the Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry, the Undersecretary for Legislation Authority, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources attended the meeting.  His Excellency welcomed the members and hailed the role of the Shura Council in discussing topics and cases of importance to citizens. He appreciated the efforts of the Shura Council members in contributing to the nation›s security and stability.  He said reinforcing human rights values and principles is a key factor in all the Interior Ministry’s operations, including the community police, the alternative sentencing project and the open prisons programme. He affirmed that the development of community security programmes and initiatives contributes to reinforcing the security of society, in line with the visions, values, and principles of the reform era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
