He pointed out the ongoing support of the government, led by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in implementing projects, initiatives, and rehabilitation programmes to promote social cohesion.  His Excellency hailed the National Human Rights Plan and its human rights-reinforcing programmes and initiatives and highlighted that the alternative sentencing project and open prisons, as part of the national human rights system, have both received global appreciation. These have been implemented per the highest innovative rehabilitation standards and programmes. He emphasised the importance of laws in facilitating the project›s implementation for the benefit of society. His Excellency hailed the role of the community police in implementing the Maan (together) initiative against violence and addiction, which was developed by incorporating a new curriculum focused on combating extremism and promoting peaceful coexistence. He emphasised the importance of ongoing efforts to protect young people from all risks.  For their part, the head and members of the committee expressed appreciation for the Interior Ministry’s affiliates’ competency and readiness in protecting human rights. They valued the achievements of the alternative sentencing project and highlighted their dedication to developing security-related laws.
