is Excellency the Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, wo is also the Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology, has launched a group of strategic projects that directly contribute to accelerating the pace of digital transformation in Bahrain. This reflects the wise leadership›s commitment to developing the digital transformation process and enhancing the efficiency of government services and innovation in the government sector, in line with Bahrain Vision 2030. These projects include the My Government app, the advanced eKey, the advanced ID card, the self-service centre and the innovation lab. Sustainable development Al-Amn Magazine met with Chief Executive of the Information & eGovernment Authority Mohammed Ali Al Qaed who emphasized that the launch of these projects carries profound implications for the attention and care His Majesty the King has given to the ICT and eGovernment sector. He said it is in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to accelerate digital transformation and achieve excellence in the provision of government services. He added that these pioneering projects complement the Authority›s efforts and strategy aimed at achieving sustainable development in all areas, including enhancing the efficiency of government performance and improving the quality of services provided to citizens and residents in Bahrain.
