Strategic projects Regarding the recently launched strategic projects, he said the «My Government» app, available through the eGovernment App Store (bahrain.bh/apps) , is one of the most prominent projects within the plan to integrate smart device applications for government services. “This plan focusses on integrating existing government applications into three main applications (the My Government app for individuals, the Trader app for business owners and investors, and the Bahrain app for visitors). It represents a major step towards digitizing government services, in addition to providing a unified experience for citizens and residents through access to more than 41 services from nine government entities, facilitating their daily transactions faster and more securely.” He explained that the app provides a single sign-on service using the advanced electronic key (eKey 2.0), which enhances the level of security in electronic services. He pointed out that the app allows users to access their personal documents, such as their ID cards, driving licenses and passports, as well as the ability to make electronic payments for various government services. “This reflects the Authority›s commitment to providing innovative and effective solutions that meet everyone›s needs.” He explained that the app, as it develops, will be gradually integrated into other applications, such as the traffic app. The My Health app, the Electricity and Water app, the Islamiyat app, Wajhaty, and Ay Shabab, with the aim of integrating the remaining apps. He said that the number of downloads of the app has reached more than 110,000 a month after its launch, reflecting the public›s eagerness to benefit from the app and complete their transactions. A qualitative leap Regarding the improved electronic key application (eKey 2.0), he said that the launch comes within the framework of enhancing the user experience in Bahrain, noting its importance as it enables unified access to various government services using biometric authentication, facilitating users to complete government transactions smoothly and securely without having to enter traditional passwords. He added that the application was downloaded 119,000 times within a month of its launch, demonstrating its success in meeting individuals› needs to facilitate access to government and private sector services. He emphasized that this system represents a qualitative leap in security technologies in Bahrain and significantly enhances the reliability and transparency of government transactions.
