back more than 200 years! Given the community’s strong religious values, permission was granted to establish the temple, which stands as a remarkable symbol of the tolerance and coexistence that has been a hallmark of Bahrain›s culture since those early days, and continues to thrive today. Over the years, other Indian communities have also made Bahrain their home. Religious spaces have been created to cater to the diverse faiths of these communities. The Temple, which started modestly, has grown into a vital hub for the Hindu expatriate community, offering spiritual growth, social interaction, cultural programs, and educational activities. Following the Pushti Marg path, the Temple worships Lord Shri Krishna in His childhood form, with daily rituals performed by the priests. Major Hindu festivals are celebrated with the support of public security, and the Temple also engages in social welfare activities, including blood donation drives and charitable support. It provides resources for the community and cremation facilities, and serves as a significant cultural landmark in Bahrain. Chairman of the Managing Committee Mahesh Bhatia noted, “The Temple stands as a testament to the spirit of unity and devotion, where we celebrate not only our faith but also the values of community, love, and service to others. We are proud to provide a space for spiritual growth and to contribute to the well-being of both our own and the broader society. It is a symbol of the enduring harmony that defines the Kingdom of Bahrain.» Al Amn Bureau Temple visitors take part in a celebration at the temple - Archive photo
