The event was held in cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Directorate at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, as well as the Public Security Sports Association, at CrossFit Riffa. The Southern Governor praised the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to promote community partnership through the implementation of programmes and activities that contribute to protecting society and enhancing security awareness and social responsibility rooted in citizenship. He also commended the efforts of the Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science Directorate for its role in addressing the challenge of drug abuse and protecting the youth to ensure a safe and stable community. The Deputy Director General of Traffic, Brigadier Mohammed bin Darraj, led Bahrain’s delegation to the 20th Arab Conference of Traffic Chiefs, held at the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunisia. The event brought together heads and representatives of traffic departments from member states. The conference discussed key topics, including the exchange of experiences among member states in traffic management and road accident reduction, smart traffic awareness initiatives, and a proposal to establish a pan-Arab analytical traffic database. Additionally, preparations for Arab Traffic Week celebrations were reviewed. As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen national capacities in combating human trafficking, the Anti-Trafficking and Public Morals Protection Directorate at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence organised its fourth training course for frontline personnel, in cooperation with the Public Prosecution and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA). According to the Criminal Investigation Media Division, the course was attended by 31 trainees from various directorates within the Interior Ministry.
