In a joint statement, the ministers welcomed Brazil’s accession to the alliance, as part of expanding the network of member states to cover various continents worldwide, reflecting the alliance’s strategic openness and responsiveness to geopolitical developments and emerging challenges affecting societal security and changes in crime patterns. On the sidelines of the meeting, His Excellency met with HH Lt-General Sheikh Saif, in which he praised the distinguished historical and fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and the mutual keenness to enhance prospects for security cooperation in various fields. During the meeting, several security topics and issues were discussed, as well as the strengthening of joint efforts to exchange expertise and information within the framework of the International Security Alliance, thereby contributing to achieving regional security and stability. His Excellency also met with the coordinating minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs of Singapore, K. Shanmugam. During the meeting, mechanisms for developing security cooperation between the two countries were discussed, along with enhancing coordination and joint action within the framework of establishing a global police structure to combat future security threats. His Excellency met with the Minister of Interior and Public Security of Senegal, Mohamed Bamba Cisse, and discussed the existing relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries, especially in the security field, as well as several topics that contribute to developing areas of joint work. The Interior Minister emphasised the importance of maintaining continuous communication and exchanging programmes and expertise, which contribute to strengthening the police system and combating crime in all its forms. His Excellency also met with the Minister of the Interior of Spain, Fernando Grande-Marlaska. He praised the bilateral relations between the two countries and the mutual keenness to develop them, while discussing areas of cooperation and joint coordination, and a number of security topics and developments in the regional and international arenas.
