This is considered one of the most significant technological achievements during the prosperous era of HM the King.” He said Bahrain has witnessed a clear and massive transformation in the field of communications and information technology, enhancing communication, transferring knowledge, and stimulating innovation across various vital sectors. “This transformation stems from a comprehensive national vision and strategy to advance the digital transformation.” He said Bahrain became the first country in the world to provide internet access to all its government employees, aiming to improve government operations and service quality. “It also ranks among the most connected countries, achieving 100 per cent internet coverage, according to the International Telecommunication Union’s report. “The continued organisation of the eGovernment Excellence Award underscores the government’s support for the digital transformation process. Public and private sector institutions have moved beyond simply adopting modern methods in developing projects and services to actively promoting a culture of excellence and digital innovation.” He said thanks to the award’s various editions since its inception in 2008, a total of 1,940 outstanding digital projects from government and private entities, civil society organisations, and individuals have been awarded. “Of these, 184 projects have won awards, confirming that excellence in Bahrain is a firmly established approach, embraced by everyone with a sincere national competitive spirit.” His Excellency congratulated all the honourees from the winning entities and individuals in this edition of the eGovernment Excellence Award for their digital projects that showcase creativity and national responsibility. “I also express my gratitude to the organising committee and the team at the Information and eGovernment Authority for their dedicated efforts.
