This strategy, through its objectives and indicators, represented a crucial turning point in guiding government entities towards comprehensive digital development and transformation across all sectors.” He explained that the eGovernment Excellence Award is a cornerstone for motivating all entities to excel, innovate, and improve performance. “Since its inception, it has proven its presence as a leading national initiative that contributes to developing work in all sectors by updating its standards to keep pace with rapid digital transformations. It also fosters innovation within entities, drives them towards adopting advanced legislation, flexible organisational structures, and interconnected systems, and prepares a competent national workforce capable of working with modern technologies.” The ceremony also included a short documentary showcasing the journey of the internet in the Kingdom of Bahrain from its launch in 1995 to the present day.
