In the public and private sector category, the Ministry of Youth Affairs won the government sector award for Best Website for its website www.mya.gov.bh . The Gulf University won the private sector award for its website, www.gulfuniversity.edu.bh, while the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning won the award for Best Integrated Electronic Services from the public sector for its integrated services. The Bahrain Airport Services won from the private sector for its ground handling services management system, “Munawala.” The “My stc BH” application, provided by stc Bahrain, won the Best Smart Device Application award, dedicated this year to the private sector only. The award for Best Work Environment for Digital Innovation was won by the University of Bahrain, from the public sector, for its Digital Innovation System, and by BENEFIT Company, from the private sector, for its work environment. The Nasser Centre for Science and Technology won the award for Best Use of Artificial Intelligence in the public sector for its AI- powered classroom project. The award for Best Use of Artificial Intelligence in the private sector was won by Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) for its AI-powered system for predicting high-risk areas within the company.  The award for Best Digital Transformation Project went to the National Bureau of Revenue’s Advanced Data Analysis System project from the government sector. At the same time, Al Salam Bank won the private sector category for its “ONE Marketplace” application.  The General Directorate of Traffic of the Ministry of Interior won the Best Practice in E-Participation Award for the public sector for its Digital Traffic Safety Campaign, accessible through the General Directorate of Traffic’s channels (@Trafficbh). From the private sector, the Khalid bin Hamad Sports Organisation won for its live streaming of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) events via the BRAVE TV platform. Regarding the winning digital initiatives in the individual category, the award for Best Digital Initiative was given to Marwa Asim Latif for her initiative on a cancer prediction system based on artificial intelligence and RNA sequencing. Hussain Basim also won for his “SolarMap” web application. The award also went to Fares Ahmed Marhoon for his “SentinelSecure” vulnerability assessment tool. The eGovernment Excellence Award, since its inception in 2008, has established itself as one of the leading national initiatives in the Kingdom of Bahrain, within the framework of promoting digital transformation, consolidating a culture of innovation, and encouraging public and private entities to adopt innovative solutions and modern technologies to raise the quality of services provided.
