SECURITY H is Excellency the Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received the Inspector General at the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Interior and President of the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL), Major General Dr Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, in the presence of the President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa.  His Excellency welcomed the guest and his accompanying delegation on the sidelines of their participation in the First International Border Management and Technologies in the Middle East Summit, organised by the Interior Ministry. He highlighted the deep-rooted and brotherly relations between Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the commitment to enhancing cooperation, coordination, and the exchange of expertise in all fields of security work. During the meeting, His Excellency received the Medal of the Highest Order from the President of INTERPOL. The award represents an official recognition of outstanding contributions to strengthening international cooperation in promoting global security and peace. It is presented to heads of state, prime ministers, and interior ministers. His Excellency expressed his gratitude and pride in receiving this honour, which he described as a tribute to the distinguished role played by the Interior Ministry of Bahrain in supporting efforts to enhance security and stability, and to promote the principles of cooperation and integration among nations to achieve regional security and global peace.  He commended the ongoing cooperation between the Interior Ministry and INTERPOL, noting the successful steps taken in combating organised crime and addressing emerging security challenges. He also expressed appreciation for INTERPOL’s exceptional and professional efforts in supporting international law enforcement agencies. The meeting also discussed several security topics aimed at strengthening cooperation and enhancing performance in addressing current and emerging security challenges.
