SECURITY is Excellency the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Academy of Police (RAP), General Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa attended a graduation ceremony for the fifth and sixth batch of postgraduate students from the Academy. The graduates are personnel of the Interior Ministry and other government organisations and institutions. The Deputy Interior Minister, the Chief of Public Security, His Highness the Southern Governor, the Interior Ministry Undersecretary and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom attended the ceremony The two batches comprise 100 graduates specialising in Master’s programmes in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, Human Rights and Criminal Justice, Artificial Intelligence, and Disaster and Emergency Planning. The RAP offers these programmes in cooperation with the University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom. On this occasion, His Excellency expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his support of the police force, within the framework of their training and equipping them with knowledge, strategic and human sciences, which contribute to strengthening their role in maintaining the security of the nation. He also expressed his appreciation for the follow-up and attention of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which has had a significant impact on enhancing readiness to perform duties and excellence in providing security services. He affirmed that the Master’s programmes represent a qualitative addition to the Academy’s programmes, most notably by consolidating human rights in security work and promoting positive engagement in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and disaster and emergency response. His Excellency congratulated the graduates, praising their efforts in their studies, which will contribute to providing advanced security services and enhancing performance levels.
