He also commended the National Emergency Plan presented during the meeting, noting its well defined procedures and proactive measures, and lauded the role of the Ministry of Interior in safeguarding internal security. He expressed appreciation for the dedication of national security personnel and their contributions to protecting society and national gains. He underscored the Shura Council’s support for the national security framework, reiterating its commitment to national responsibilities and coordination with the executive authority to promote Bahrain’s comprehensive development process. He underlined the need for all individuals and institutions to unite in reinforcing societal protection and national unity. He highlighted the role of community organisations in raising awareness among citizens, asserting that current security challenges and regional developments necessitate strong national cohesion and community solidarity that embody a spirit of patriotism and a high level of awareness regarding national responsibilities and duties. On his part, His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said the meeting reflects the close cooperation between the legislative and executive branches and aims to inform members of the relevant parliamentary committees about the procedures adopted in response to emergencies and civil protection readiness, in light of ongoing regional developments. He commended the wise policies of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which over the past 25 years have contributed to building national trust and strengthening Bahrain’s social fabric within the framework of national unity. He noted that during this period, His Majesty has focused on fostering strong foundations for cooperation and enhancing close relations at the Gulf, Arab, and international levels. He lauded the ongoing guidance and follow up from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to ensure that the relevant ministries operate effectively during emergency situations. The minister noted that after monitoring developments and initial indicators, a meeting of the Civil Defense Council and the National Committee for Civil Emergency Management was convened. He highlighted the proactive approach to enhance readiness and maintain the continuity of essential services, through activation of the National Civil Emergency Plan and the National Emergency Centre to manage the impact of any potential developments in the region. His Excellency underscored the importance of countering rumours and misinformation, noting that such actions constitute a legal violation and are being actively monitored. He highlighted the need to avoid engaging with suspicious messages and emphasised the role of correcting misleading information that could undermine public order and social peace. The Interior Minister emphasised the importance of upholding public order and social cohesion and warned against responding to unlawful calls or actions that could disrupt national stability. He stressed that Bahrain is not a party to the ongoing regional conflict and rejected any attempts to draw the country into it. He said that Bahrain will not allow any action that threatens its security and stability. He highlighted the essential role of the legislative authority as a key national partner in safeguarding the Bahrain’s security.
