Director General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science thanked His Excellency for his support and instructions that contributed to the milestones of the Anti-Narcotics Directorates. He hailed the follow-up of the Chief of Public Security and said that community partnership in anti- drug efforts is vital to tackling the issue through cooperation of citizens, residents, and government and private organisations. He said security awareness is one of the key elements in limiting negative phenomena and protecting social cohesion. The celebration included a film on the national anti-drug efforts, the achievements of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, awareness projects and efforts to reintegrate recovered people with an addiction into society. His Excellency later honoured personnel from the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science as well as relevant security authorities, along with the organisers of distinguished programmes in combating and raising awareness of the scourge of drugs, and the supporting national companies and institutions. He praised their role and sincere efforts, and wished everyone success in serving the nation. The celebration included an exhibition with the participation of ministries, members of the National Anti-Drug Committee and relevant Interior Ministry directorates. It included awareness sections that showcased security and preventive anti-drug efforts.
