Member of the Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Major General Adel Abdullah Amin said there is close cooperation and ongoing coordination between the Ministry of Interior and its counterpart in Saudi Arabia. He said several coordination meetings were held before the Hajj season to determine pre-planned mechanisms for facilitating the pilgrims’ delegations and verifying Hajj permits. He said after the Hajj Security Committee’s arrival in Mecca, a meeting was held with several relevant security agencies to ensure that all precautionary measures for security and safety had been taken at the camps in the holy sites, in coordination with Saudi security. Members of the Supreme Hajj and Umrah Committee held several meetings to review all Hajj-related measures and ensure full readiness to ensure the safety of the Kingdom’s pilgrims. A training plan was implemented for some cadres and administrators of the Bahraini Hajj Mission. The Supreme Committee also dispatched a team approximately a month and a half before the Hajj season to inspect the buildings of the Hajj campaigns in Makkah and closely follow up with the campaign owners to resolve any issues identified in the buildings. He pointed out that, in line with the follow-up and instructions of His Excellency, the Security Committee worked to provide services that ensured the speed and safety of procedures, facilitating the performance of Hajj for citizens and residents and ensuring their safety during the Hajj rituals.
