is Excellency the Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology, chaired the committee’s meeting attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Minister of Education, and Minister of Industry and Commerce, along with the Chief Executive of the Information and eGovernment Authority. His Excellency expressed his pride in His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s royal directives in supporting the Bahrain’s comprehensive digital transformation and commended His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his continued follow-up on constructive initiatives to enhance government service efficiency and modernisation. He said these efforts have contributed to Bahrain’s high global standing in the UN E-Government Development Index. After ratifying the previous meeting’s minutes and reviewing follow-up decisions, the committee discussed updates on the development of government services, reaffirming the importance of maintaining continuous progress. In this context, His Excellency stressed adopting an executive plan for the complete digital transformation of all eligible government services. During the meeting, the committee approved the National Digital Economy Strategy aligned it with the National Digital Trade Strategy, following the Ministry of Industry and Commerce briefing. The committee also reviewed several topics submitted by the Information and eGovernment Authority, including policies related to UN indicators and the advisory guide on the ethics of artificial intelligence usage. It was decided that these topics would undergo further study. His Excellency expressed appreciation to the Committee members for their ongoing collaboration and commitment to advancing government services for the benefit of all citizens and residents.
