BRIEFS T he Chief of Public Security, Lt. General Tariq Al Hassan, attended the graduation of participants in specialised training courses by the Maritime Training Wing of the Coast Guard. Personnel from the Royal Bahraini Naval Force, Royal Bahraini Air Force, National Guard and Special Security Force, as well as several participants from Saudi Arabia and Oman, attended. The Chief said that these courses were part of the directives of His Excellency the Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to enhance the efficiency and preparedness of the workforce. He noted that the Interior Ministry is dedicated to developing the security training system per global standards. He said that enhancing maritime security competencies would promote security and stability. He hailed the efforts of the participants in completing the course. He said that maritime training programmes contribute to equipping participants with the best skills and practices to carry out their duties competently and professionally in all situations. The Chief added that investing in human capital is the Interior Ministry›s priority. This involves updating the training programmes and providing the latest tools and equipment to enhance security performance, preparedness, and active security services. The Chief congratulated the graduates and wished them all the best. He spoke of the significance of continuing with training and self-development to meet security happenings and capabilities. Senior Interior Ministry officers and officers from the Bahrain Defence Force, Royal Bahraini Naval Force, and National Guard attended the graduation ceremony. The Interior Ministry Undersecretary Office won the Stevie Awards for Institutional Excellence and Innovation for the Middle East and North Africa region. The Interior Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa expressed pride in the accomplishment, asserting that winning for the second time showcases the Interior Ministry›s commitment to best administration practices and enhancing institutional performance. He also explained that winning this award reflects the Ministry’s success in enhancing governance, improving institutional performance, raising the efficiency of services provided, strengthening customer relations, implementing effective strategic planning, and employing modern technology to achieve the best outcomes. This achievement came during the Stevie Awards ceremony for the Middle East and North Africa region, which was held in the United Arab Emirates in the presence of officials and prominent figures. The Office of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior was honoured among the winners in appreciation of its efforts in achieving the standards of institutional excellence and administrative innovation.
