Empoweri ng product i ve fami l i es Fi refighters Cha l l enge conc l udes Northern Governor Ali bin Al Shaikh Abdulhussain Al Asfoor, attended the closing ceremony of the fourth Bahrain Society for Social Responsibility Exhibition programme, organised by the Bahrain Corporate Social Responsibility Society in collaboration with the University of Bahrain for Technology. The Northern Governor highlighted that the governorate takes pride in supporting the exhibition, which empowers productive families by equipping them with essential skills to transform their crafts into entrepreneurial ventures, driving economic growth and social development. The Chairman of Bahrain CSR Society pointed out the significance of such initiatives in supporting Bahraini society and advancing sustainable development, expressing hope for their continuation to create more opportunities for economic and social growth. The Vice President of Administration and Finance at the University of Technology Bahrain expressed pride in the success of the training programme for productive families and the accompanying exhibition, highlighting its alignment with a strong commitment to community development. Coinciding with Bahrain Sports Day and World Civil Defence Day, the 4th edition of the Firefighters Challenge Championship was held at the Avenues Mall.  The championship witnessed the competition of 115 professional firefighters from various government and private entities, in addition to 129 amateur participants. They competed in challenges that simulate the field tasks of firefighters to highlight their physical and practical skills in facing emergency challenges and enhancing community awareness of the importance of the role of civil defence in preserving lives and property. In addition to the competitions, the event included activities for the public, including live displays of civil defence mechanisms, an awareness corner highlighting safety and fire prevention procedures, and a distinctive musical performance by the Police Band. The Bahrain Firefighters Challenge Championship is considered one of the most prominent annual events that receive wide attention due to its role in raising the level of professionalism among civil defence personnel, highlighting their high capabilities in dealing with critical situations and strengthening the principle of community partnership in spreading awareness about prevention and safety procedures.
