is Excellency the Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa received the Executive Director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in the Middle East, Retired Lt. General Martin Sampson.  His Excellency welcomed the official and hailed the role of the research centres through conducting studies to enhance the security approach and draft police policies to deal with security challenges and changes positively.  He commanded the institute›s role in promoting global peace and holding strategic forums and international conferences, including the Manama Dialogue, an annual intellectual platform to exchange views related to security and stability topics. He pointed out the role of the IISS’s specialised studies in assisting decision- makers and the significance of developing cooperation to achieve mutual interests and goals.
