SECURITY he Director General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, received Kuwait’s Acting Director General of Penal and Correctional Institutions, Brigadier General Saeed Ali Lootah and the accompanying delegation.  The Director General welcomed the guests and both sides reviewed cooperation, coordination, and exchange of expertise in alternative sanctions. They also discussed topics of common interest.  The Director General emphasised that the alternative sentencing and open prisons programme is part of the initiatives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to showcase the noble and civilised humanitarian values. He noted that the programme is followed up by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.  He pointed out that the programme achieved remarkable and international human rights milestones because of the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister General Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and his dedication to adopting the best global standards.
