n order to achieve the supreme national interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples, and within the framework of efforts to enhance all forms and areas of joint cooperation, the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council operates under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect and preserve them. Since its inception, the Council has worked to enhance cooperation and integration by advancing and enhancing the pace of tireless work and consolidating efforts to achieve the aspirations, hopes, and expectations of the two countries in enhancing security, strengthening stability, and increasing prosperity. This is achieved through the specialized committees emanating from the Council , including the Security Coordination Committee, which recently held its fourth meeting in Jeddah under the chairmanship of the Interior Ministers of the two countries, General His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef Al Saud, Minister of Interior of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In his opening remarks, His Excellency the Minister of Interior emphasized that the security of the two brotherly countries is unshakable, and that our shared goals of integration and confronting our security challenges are a long-term strategic approach. He praised the initiatives that have been implemented, which represent a qualitative leap in all areas of security cooperation. He noted the role and efforts of the working groups and the initiatives they have accomplished to develop distinguished cooperation and coordination projects. With a spirit of determination and resolve, His Excellency the Minister of Interior affirmed that , with God›s help and through tireless and sincere efforts, work will be done in a spirit of fraternal resolve to implement security initiatives while simultaneously maintaining the continuity of the security modernization and development process between the two countries. During its four meetings, the Security Coordination Committee succeeded in completing a number of initiatives, including curbing the spread of extremist ideology among youth, cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, linking the main operations rooms in the two countries, and completing the first phase of facilitating travel procedures for citizens through airports. The recent meeting also discussed the necessary mechanisms for implementing a number of new initiatives aimed at enhancing security cooperation and coordination. There is no doubt that the strong, long-standing relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples constitute the primary driving force behind further security cooperation and coordination for a better present and future.
