appreciation for the extensive cooperation and training provided by the Interior Ministry and the Durham Constabulary. He affirmed the commitment to the highest professional standards for law enforcement personnel, especially as the Interior Ministry’s affiliates benefit from the Durham Constabulary’s remarkable expertise in forensics, investigative process and leadership training courses. His Excellency noted that the two sides agreed to explore proposed areas of future cooperation, in addition to training programmes on the latest police technologies, as part of the Interior Ministry’s strategy aimed at enhancing the efficiency and capabilities of police personnel in various areas of police work. He expressed his confidence in advancing this cooperation to broader horizons and enhancing the utilisation of Durham Police’s skills and expertise in all areas of law enforcement. Among the training programmes completed between the two sides are the specialised training programme in forensics and the professional investigation program. Future aspirations include the implementation of new programmes, including combating transnational organised crime and the application of artificial intelligence in police work. During the meeting, Durham Constabulary presented briefings on police leadership and the work of community police, covering both communication with the public and their work in schools. A third briefing included initiatives being implemented to reduce traffic accidents. His Excellency the Interior Minister reviewed the objectives and rehabilitation capabilities of the Alternative Sentencing Project and the Open Prisons Programme, as well as their role in reintegrating beneficiaries into society after rehabilitation through well-planned programmes and effective community initiatives. He also referred to the community security programmes implemented by the Interior Ministry, including the Maan (together) against violence and addiction, which is implemented by the Community Police in all schools in Bahrain in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. During the discussions, ways to enhance fruitful training partnerships and exchange experiences and expertise to raise security performance levels were discussed.
