BRIEFS T he Commander of the Royal Academy of Police, Major General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan, led Bahrain’s delegation to the 14th Arab Conference of Heads of Security Training and Qualification Institutions, held in Qatar under the patronage of Qatari Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The conference was attended by representatives of Arab interior ministries and several regional and international security organisations. Participants discussed key topics related to enhancing the efficiency of Arab security agencies and advancing police training and qualification methods. Conference sessions covered several themes, including developing the technical skills of security personnel to combat cybercrime, preparing a model framework for preventive security training, and establishing mechanisms for crisis and emergency management training. The RAP Commander expressed pride in Bahrain’s participation in this significant Arab event, praising the advanced level of organisation and the comprehensive vision presented during the conference. He emphasised that the event contributes to strengthening Arab cooperation in training and qualification fields, keeping pace with modern security requirements and supporting regional stability. The event aimed to strengthen cooperation and joint security coordination among GCC coast guard authorities, as well as to exchange expertise in border protection.
