He pointed out that Bahrain’s handling of the COVID-19 crisis constituted a distinguished national and international success story, commended by the World Health Organisation, thanks to the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as the response was conducted according to distinguished procedures to confront disasters. He also noted the commitment to the standards and values of integrity and transparency in all aspects of government work, expressing his confidence that goodness lies at the end of the tunnel, thanks to trust in the planning, management and leadership of government work. His Excellency stressed the people’s stances are unforgettable, praising their solidarity and keenness to all be together for the sake of Bahrain and its future. He explained that Muharraq has a high national status and value, carrying a rich history and legacy, as it serves as a beacon of loyalty, belonging, patriotism, and a renewed pledge to HM the King. He pointed to the royal order to preserve the historical and cultural identity of Bahrain’s buildings and cities, revive the Isa Grand Palace, and develop Muharraq in a manner that preserves its historical and cultural heritage. He explained that the axes of sustainable development extend to all districts of the country in the implementation of Vision 2030. He addressed the directives of HM the King to preserve authentic Bahraini tradition, thereby upholding national values and principles, and reflecting noble values, ancient traditions, and pride in the nation’s achievements and cultural gains. He emphasised the role of Bahrain’s Majlises in preserving authentic culture and customs. “Majlises are schools, and their character and social standing must be preserved, especially as we enter a phase that requires us all to stand together nationally, behind the leadership of HM the King”. He highlighted the role of citizens in strengthening social security, as Muharraq Majlises are councils of stance, loyalty, patriotism, and commitment.
