His Excellency expressed his pride in the level of security cooperation and coordination achieved, stemming from the deep-rooted fraternal and historical relations that bind the two brotherly countries, under the leadership of HM the King and HH the Amir of Kuwait. His Excellency expressed his gratitude to HE the Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for the excellent preparations for the visit and the warm hospitality. He noted his eagerness to strengthen security cooperation and coordination, including exchanging security expertise and experience, building training and operational capabilities, and conducting joint exercises. He added that, based on the agreements reached during the recent visit of HE the Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, it was decided to activate the work of the Joint Security Committee and develop the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two Ministries of Interior. Both sides agreed to sign Memoranda of Understanding in the coming period, covering cooperation in police training, civil protection, combating violence and addiction, alternative sentencing, and open prisons, as part of efforts to strengthen joint cooperation. His Excellency emphasised that, given the partnership relations aimed at developing the prospects for security cooperation and the progress witnessed in various fields, this meeting will be an exceptional and constructive step forward in the path of security cooperation and coordination. The discussion session between Bahraini and Kuwaiti officials covered several key security issues, aimed at strengthening cooperation and coordination and enhancing performance in addressing security challenges and regional developments. The Interior Ministry welcomed the Kuwaiti side’s interest in learning about Bahrain’s successful experience with alternative sentencing and open prisons, which have achieved successive milestones under the wise directives of HM the King and follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Both sides also expressed appreciation for the distinguished role of police media in keeping pace with events, promoting security awareness and education, and combating rumours by publishing accurate and credible information. Upon his arrival in Kuwait, His Excellency was received by HE the Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and a number of senior officials. He was accompanied during his visit by several senior officials from the Ministry of Interior.
