Advancing education and cultural vitality The Ministry of Education also won the award for Best Initiative in Education Development, recognizing its success in redefining the relationship between educational institutions and students. Under the leadership of Minister Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Juma, the Ministry introduced a modern educational approach that challenged traditional concepts and delivered meaningful transformation—earning it well-deserved recognition. Meanwhile, the “Mara’ee 2025” Bahrain International Exhibition continued its growing success, inaugurated by His Majesty the King and witnessing strong public turnout alongside broad Gulf and regional participation. The exhibition achieved a dual objective: boosting Gulf tourism to Bahrain while supporting small and medium- sized enterprises and local production. Social empowerment On the social level, 2025 was marked by enhanced community empowerment and broad public participation, in line with the Vision 2030 pillar of “creating a fair and prosperous society.” Youth and women empowerment remained central, with outstanding youth initiatives showcased during “Muharraq Nights”, promoting creativity and cultural engagement. Bahraini youth continued to demonstrate excellence in volunteering and cultural interaction, supported by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs. This was evident in the launch of the International Volunteering Exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Social Development in his presence, where he praised the wide youth participation in volunteerism. Youth engagement was also prominent during the “Bahrain National Celebrations,” reflecting deep-rooted loyalty and national belonging. International recognition Politically, Bahrain reaffirmed its leadership and active role on both regional and international stages in 2025, most notably by successfully hosting the 46th GCC Summit, which emerged as a strategically significant event and garnered widespread praise. The summit concluded with the issuance of the “Sakhir Declaration,” presenting a comprehensive vision for strengthening joint Gulf action and adopting a unified stance on regional and international issues. More recently, Bahrain received new international recognition as Manama won the award for World’s Leading Business Travel Destination at the World Travel Awards 2025. Additionally, the International Human Rights Alliance expressed its support for Bahrain’s sovereignty and independence. Story of national success There are dozens of other national successes and achievements that cannot all be listed here, spanning areas such as the environment, clean energy, artificial intelligence, sports, security, culture, and the arts. Nonetheless, it can confidently be stated that 2025 truly reflected Bahrain’s unwavering determination to move forward under its wise leadership. The achievements witnessed across economic, housing, social, and political domains represent chapters in an ongoing success story—built upon strategic planning rooted in Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and the Government Programme. Through the collective efforts of its wise leadership and loyal people, Bahrain has succeeded in transforming challenges into opportunities and charting a path toward sustainable prosperity—one that positions the Kingdom to achieve even greater accomplishments in the years ahead, while consistently conveying a message of progress, peace, and coexistence to the world.
