Martyrs ’ u l t imate sacri fice H. E t he Mi ni s ter at tends Commemorat i on Day event is Excellency the Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa attended an event to mark the Commemoration Day at the Special Security Force headquarters. His Excellency was accompanied by The Chief of Police Lt. General Tariq Al Hassan. The event began with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Later, the Interior Minister and senior officers saluted the martyrs as the police band played the “Martyr’s Call”. His Excellency proceeded to the memorial to recite “Surah Al-Fatiha” for the souls of the martyrs. He then paid tribute to the martyrs of duty for their noble and ultimate sacrifices for the nation, which remain a guiding light on the path to the future. He expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, for his gracious gesture in designating December 17 as the Accession Day and the Commemoration Day.  He emphasised that on this special occasion, all should remember with pride the martyrs of duty. He said they are the heroes of security and a source of loyalty and devotion and the role model of sacrifice and selflessness. “We pray for God’s mercy upon them and offer our deepest gratitude and appreciation to their families.” H
