Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa visited the Sea Ports Customs Directorate on Sunday. He was briefed on the work flow and strategy, including plans, programmes and the use of modern devices and technologies that contribute to the promotion and development of prosperity and economic growth.
At the beginning of the visit, he conveyed the thanks and appreciation of His Excellency Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to all employees for their efforts to facilitate the transit of logistical transport, goods and passenger traffic. He praised their success in thwarting the smuggling of narcotic substances, which was estimated at about BD700,000. He wished them the best in serving the nation.
