Interior Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa attended a ceremony by the General Directorate of Women Police to mark Bahrain Women’s Day.
The ceremony included honouring some of the Interior Ministry’s female affiliates of officers, commissioned officials and civilians. It was attended by the Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
The Undersecretary praised the role of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Women, in supporting and caring for Bahraini women and her efforts in improving women’s ability to participate competitively in the development process based on the foundations of equal opportunities. He stressed the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister in supporting Bahraini women and improving their efficiency. He thanked the ministry’s directorates for empowering women.
Meanwhile, the Director-General of Women Police, Brigadier Mona Abdulraheem, expressed thanks and appreciation to HRH Shaikha Sabeeka for supporting Bahraini women from all walks of life under the development project of His Majesty the Kingdom. She said that women have proven their efficiency in police work because of the support of HE Interior Minister. She hailed the supportive role of the Undersecretary.
