HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Chairperson of the World Customs Organization (WCO) and members of the Policy Commission

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the Chairperson of the World Customs Organization (WCO), HE Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and members of the WCO Policy Commission, at Gudaibiya Palace. His Royal Highness highlighted the vital roles played by customs authorities in supporting global economies and promoting economic development. His Royal Highness commended the efforts of the Bahraini workforce in Bahrain’s customs, who always work in the best interests of the country and the citizens, and adopt international best practices that cement the Kingdom’s position at the international level. His Royal Highness welcomed the members of the committee on the occasion of their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the outcomes of the committee meeting, which was held for the first time in the Kingdom. His Royal Highness commended the efforts of the WCO headed by HE Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, wishing it further success. For their part, the Chairperson of the WCO and the members of the WCO Policy Committee expressed their thanks and appreciation for His Royal Highness’ support in promoting customs work and wished the Kingdom further progress and prosperity. The Advisor to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Interior, HE Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
