The World Customs Organisation (WCO) concluded on Wednesday the meeting of its General Policies Committee that was held for the first time in Bahrain and was inaugurated by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. The meeting was chaired by the President of Customs and Chairperson of the WCO Council, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Organisation, Dr Kunio Mikuria, and the participation of members of the Committee from 30 countries.
The meeting reviewed various topics, including green customs, Hybrid Customs Administrations, and the WCO Data Strategy.
