His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, today met with the Minister of Interior HE General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and several senior officers and employees of the Ministry of Interior (MOI), at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting took place on the occasion of the Bahrain Police Day. His Royal Highness lauded the dedication of the Ministry of Interior's employees to further the Kingdom's progress and their determination to uphold the Kingdom's security. His Royal Highness commended the efforts of Bahrain’s security forces to safeguard the Kingdom and protect the freedoms of citizens. His Royal Highness also highlighted that their service is a source of pride which has helped the Kingdom to attract regional and international events. His Royal Highness also recalled the sacrifices made by the servicemen and women to protect the Kingdom's sovereignty and ensure its security. For his part, HE General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla extended his and the Ministry's thanks for the honour of meeting His Royal Highness on this occasion, commending the attention, support, and trust the Ministry of Interior receives from HM the King and His Royal Highness. HE the Minister, also expressed his appreciation for His Royal Highness' development and modernisation plans. His Excellency also noted that the Ministry is keeping pace with the latest developments and utilising modern technology to ensure the effectiveness of the Kingdom's security services. His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
