His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa attended the third and final activities of the Ardah shows in Khalifa Town, coinciding with the celebration of the National Days, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini State as an Arab and Muslim state, founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne.
The event included a variety of national paragraphs showcasing the ancient historical and heritage identity of the southern governorate, in addition to reciting a number of national poems sung by poets that tell about the history and status of the region and its authenticity, in addition to the participation of the people in the art of the performance in order to promote the revival of an important legacy for the people of the region.
The ceremony began with words of welcome to His Highness the Southern Governor, then the renowned poet recited a patriotic poem. After that, the Bahraini Ardah Society presented a paragraph on the art of Ardah, which included a number of ancient historical paragraphs.
Then, Member of Parliament Mr. Hassan Al-Dosari gifted His Highness the Southern Governor with a souvenir expressing great gratitude for the role of effective community partnership and the promotion of the firm communication approach between the Southern Governorate and the residents of the southern regions.
The Southern Governorate has prepared an integrated programme that includes holding various activities in various regions of the governorate from December 10-28, by strengthening the role of community partnership and consolidating the values of patriotism in coordination with various security, government agencies and civil society organisations. The events exemplify the long-standing history of the Southern Governorate, and the values that define loyalty to His Majesty the King.
