His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa chaired the 11th online Coordination Council meeting in its third session for the year 2022. The virtual session, the last to be held for this year, was attended by Deputy Southern Governor Brigadier Isa Thamer Al-Dosari and representatives of various governmental institutions.
HH Southern Governor welcomed the attendees, lauding the Coordinating Council’s efforts to serve the development plans and programmes in the implementation of the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He pointed out the Southern Governorate’s keenness to optimise services for citizens in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
He followed a visual presentation by the Ministry of Works on the projects implemented in the Southern Governorate, including infrastructure development and road planning. He affirmed that the development projects are in line with the governorate's approach that meets the aspirations of citizens. He was also briefed on projects of the Ministry of Social Development, such as social centres, care homes and programmes for the residents, in line with urban growth.
HH Southern Governor stressed the importance of coordination and follow-up with all the competent authorities, including the Ministry of Works, the Municipality of the Southern Region, and the Municipal Council of the Southern Governorate. It is imperative that appropriate measures are adopted during the rainy season to prevent the accumulation of water in various areas to ensure the safety of its citizens and a swift response.
As part of the briefing, the Council was informed about the governorate's ongoing efforts to meet the needs of the people, the results of the visits to various regions and projects were discussed, emphasising the importance of highlighting the services provided to the people.
The Coordination Council praised the role of coordination and cooperation in ensuring the success of all events and initiatives held during the national holidays and also lauded the follow-up on joint plans by the Southern Municipality and the Southern Governorate Police Directorate to welcome New Year's Eve.
The attendees praised the prominent role played by HH the Southern Governor, for his consistent efforts throughout the year, which confirmed the role of community partnership in order to achieve the aspirations and visions of the residents by continuously cooperating with various parties.
